Drilling holes in the engine plate for the shock mounts.
Rotax 503, 46 HP with a single carb. Comes with a pull start. I took this off.
Replaced with an electric starter. Lexan made cover for easier gear inspection.
Made instrument panel out of wood. Used old steam gauges for instruments.. against others' advice to use the EIS. Because of accuracy & "red line" warnings, I wish I would have used the EIS.
Instr. panel installed. Lexan windshield installed. Made foot rest and added blocks to rudder pedals to give it a more "Cessena type" motion instead of a pivoting action at the ankles.
Installed engine, redrive, and carb.
Muffler was sandblasted and sprayed with high temp paint. Next, I baked it in the oven for maybe an hour or so.  I was single at the time :)
Drilled hole in nose cone for my pitot tube.
Installed tail. Finished rigging all control surfaces.
After the FAA gave me my airworthiness certificate, I took her for a  spin! What a day!
