Flaps
Last time I had all the rib locations "marked-up" on the skin,  and then made center lines on my rib flanges.  Next comes lining up the ribs so they are straight. Like previous assemblies, I made 6 holes in the skin.  As you can see here; 2 on top, 2 on bottom, and 2 on the leading edge.  I first drilled the holes without the ribs in there. Then I placed ribs in the skin and found the ribs center line made on the flange, and lined that up with the line on the skin. Then I drilled away!!
After fast fowarding a couple hours, we decided to find and drill the hinge location. You can see by the color of the clecos, that  all the holes are still size #40.  They still need  drilled up to #30's.... again, not hard just time consuming.   At this point we stopped working on both Lt & Rt flaps at the same time.. we realized we would not have enough # 40 clecos for both!
The hinge needs to be positioned .057" off the bottom edge. Again, I used my hinge gauge to make sure everything was on the money! We only drilled every 3rd hole in the hinge at first, once in position with clecos, we were able to "much faster" drill the in-between holes.
I do not know why the picture was so blurry (dad must of took it :)     Everything drilled out to #30!!
The flap and aileron skins come with a white protective covering. I chose to leave as much of this on until final assembly. Here I am using a soldering iron, with the tip rounded, and a straight edge, to make the openings in the covering so I can rivet this thing together.
Here what it looks like with all my soldering work completed.  We deburred all the holes and called it a day. I do not keep track of time, but for those wondering, we worked for approx. 4 hours today.
