Horiz Stab main fwrd and rear spars. They come from Sonex in rough condition. Started polishing on these the night before, and finished them to acceptable condition early this evening.

After lining up and drilling the two channel pieces, I clamped the angles to the assembly. The angle has a chamfer on the inboard side so they can rest 1/16" away from the spar lip. To determine the 1/16", I clamped 1/16" of aluminum scrap to the sides and pushed the angles flat against it. The scrap, are the pieces with "X X X X" on them.

Here is the leading edge. All we did was drill the two channel pieces on. I know it does not look like much, but we were extra careful with the alignment of the channels. It was closing in on midnight, so we did not get the clips on. Building gets less and less fun the more sleepy you are. And, your more prone to mistakes! Don't ask how I know... We will go back to the vertical stab once my channel comes in from Sonex in a couple days. If you do not know what happened, read this.
