Horizontal Stabilizer
We left off making the 1/4" line on the FG tip. Here, I already drilled the holes and needed to patch up a couple of them when it moved on me.
Went ahead and started on the other side while waiting for the "patch-work" to dry.. Here you can see a potential problem... trying to find the center rib holes.
Since my aft holes are the same, I was able to us a piece of wood and cleco it to the original rib. Drilled the middle holes from the original rib into the wood. From this, I used the holes in the wood to drill my center holes in my new rib.
Things were really starting to look up for dad and I, we were at the end of this long road messing with the FG tips!!!
Both sides with the FG tips cleco'd on.  The Problem: The FG tips are not coming out even on both sides! Mainly just the aft portion.. this is the same area I had to heat up and twist out from the vertical stabilizer. The Left & Right sides are off about an 1" which is very noticeable! At this point I am wondering what the heck to do! I might add... since we changed our minds mounting the tips from oustside the skin to inside the  skin, I had already cut down one of the tips too much and had to buy another one, which was $75. And now this... .we stopped for the night and will sleeep on it. There is an EAA chapt 88 fly-in this weekend with 2 Sonex aircraft there, I will look at these planes with a magnifying glasss!! And talk to the builders about my problems. ( I am now thinking I should probably NOT be documenting all my GOOFS, I hope someone benefits from this!)
