Main Spars
Inboard angles all drilled to #40's.  Starting on the few angles on the outer section.
An eye bolt goes through this hole for the wing tie down.
Tip Web Assembly drilled in place.
Another view of the Wing Tie Down Angle and Tip Web Assmebly. Notice the gap in the Tip Assembly and the spar web? A spacer goes in there later.  For orientation purpose: we are looking at the AFT section.
Out of order, but here is the inboard section and all angles attached with cleco's.
Just another view.
Cleco'd the inboard section back in place. Ready to updrill all the holes.  But before we do that...
...thought I would provide some close-up shots of the Root Rib Attach Angle and Wing Mounting Block Assembly. Notice the Root Rib Attach Angle is not straight... this is the way it is suppose to be.  Maybs this will make sense when I install the ribs?
Trying to figure out what holes need to be what size. Most need to be a #21, but some others require an AN3 bolt, so in those I will need a 3/16" hole.  Also trying to figure out which holes will need dimpled & countersunk.  Remember in the Main Spars we use the solid rivets, not the "pop" rivets.
Did not get all the inboard section updrilled. We spent some time trying to use the drill press for these holes, so they would be straight. We just could not come up with a good (and efficient) way to do it, so we went back to the hand drill for now.
Not moving along very fast now the weather has been cooler. I feel it is too cool for Grace to be out there, and once it get's really cold, I do not want her breathing in the fumes of the propane heater.   I still think I can finish the wings by May 2008. (Baby number 2 due date.)
