Making parts
Wife is now back at work. It is time to get this project moving!
First night went better than expected. The baby cried only a few times, so I was able to work on the plane for about 5 hours.
Having the angle kit cut down to size, it was time to start work on the formed aluminum kit. This consisted of smaller angle and channel of all shapes and sizes.
The process used for cutting the smaller angle down to size.  While I "rough-cut" the larger angle on the miter saw, I tried to "exact-cut" the smaller angle and channel.
I tried several methods for cutting this. The longer pieces were cut with the electric miter saw. The smaller pieces were cut using the bandsaw.
After cutting each piece, I had to "true" the ends with the sander.
Deburred the edges with a Scotch-Brite Combi-S wheel. Worked great!
