Making Parts
It is March already and I am going slower than anticipated.  I have a little less time then I thought I would.  Boy, I cannot wait until Grace starts school, then I will have all morning and afternoon to work on the plane, uninterrupted.
I just finished up my flight review for another 2 years, so I was studying for that the previous two days. Now it is time to get back in the "making-parts" groove!
Some of the parts have scale drawings. On some of these, I used tracing paper and traced the scale drawing onto the paper then, I glued the trace to the part, and cut out   Here you can use the drawings to see if your part is on the money!  The 4 "bumps" are center punches, and will turn into holes very soon.
Make sure the length on the ribs are very near perfect.
Bending T03-03. This requires a 10 degree bend.  Just kind of "sandwiched-it" in the vise.
10 degree bend.
Plans call for a chamfer on both sides of the piece.  Looking at the plans, you really only need a Left chamfer on one, and a Right chamfer on the other (you need 2 T03-03 parts)  It was getting late so I only put a chamfer on one side of each piece.  This pic shows the chamfer on the Left.
